My name is Carly and I am a cat guardian. Sterling, the most stubborn, self-righteous, gentle cat with the best sense of humour.
I call myself a guardian instead of an owner for a specific reason. There is dominance and aggression associated with the word “owner” and I feel that there is no place for those characteristics in a human/animal relationship. To me, the word guardian represents compassion and protection versus a representation of an object.
Throughout my experience with Sterling I’ve struggled through many an issue and I wanted to help out any fellow crazy cat ladies (or gentlemen) if they happen to have similar problems in the future.
The most important thing here is personal experience, the same solution might not work for everyone, but here’s what has worked (or is currently working) for me.

Hey Carly! This is awesome! Keep up the good work. I’d love to see more pics of little Sterling. What a pretty kitty! Andy and I miss you all, but are very proud of everything you are doing! xoxo
